Who Is A. J. Cook?
A.J. was born July 22, 1978 in Oshawa, Canada. She’s a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and has three siblings. Her major TV series roles include Shelby Merrick in Higher Ground, Lindsay Walker in Tru Calling, and Jennifer ‘JJ’ Jareau in Criminal Minds. She played also in Final Destination 2, Night Skies, and Bringing Ashley Home. Cook married her long-time boyfriend, Nathan Andersen.

She eventually underwent surgery in 2007 where a lens implant was used to correct the impairment. A dancer from age four, Cook began taking jazz, tap and ballet lessons. She danced competitively for many years and also taught dance, before deciding at the age of 16 that she wanted to try acting.
